● TV Time → NextEp · with or without the export

Import your TV Time history, comments included.

Upload the ZIP or CSV TV Time gave you and every show lands on the exact episode you were on, with your ratings, and your comments back on the episodes you wrote them about. No export? Screenshot your streaming apps or paste a list of titles.

Free, no ads. No card, nothing to unlock.

If you have your export: three steps

The ZIP is best. The tracking CSV alone works too.

1

Find the file

The ZIP or CSV you downloaded from TV Time before the July 2026 shutdown. The ZIP also contains episode_comment.csv.

2

Open the NextEp importer

app.nextep.show/import on any phone or computer. You can start without an account.

3

Upload it

NextEp matches shows by title and year, rebuilds your position from your watched episodes, keeps ratings, and restores comments.

Import my TV Time export →

No export? Two ways back in.

Screenshot your streaming apps (Netflix, Max, Hulu, whatever you use) and NextEp reads the titles straight off the image. Or paste a plain list of show names, one per line. Then set where you are on each show in one tap.

Importing from TV Time - FAQ

TV Time shut down. Can I still get my export?

TV Time's export window closed with the shutdown in July 2026. If you downloaded the ZIP or CSV while it was open, it works in NextEp today. If you did not, you are not stuck: see the no-export options below.

Which file do I upload?

The whole ZIP TV Time sent you, or the tracking CSV inside it. If you upload the ZIP, NextEp also reads episode_comment.csv and brings your comments across.

Does it get the episode right, not just the show?

Yes. The TV Time file has no TMDB IDs, so NextEp matches each show by title and year and rebuilds the position from your watched episodes. In the 65 real exports we tested, 97.8% of shows matched automatically.

Do my comments come over?

Yes, and most people are told otherwise. TV Time's export contains your comments in episode_comment.csv. NextEp puts each top-level comment back on the episode you wrote it about, inside that show's Aftershow room. Replies are skipped on purpose, and anything flagged as a spoiler arrives hidden behind a tap.

I never exported. What are my options?

Two. Screenshot the My List or Continue Watching screen of each streaming app you use and NextEp reads the titles straight off the image. Or paste a plain list of show names, one per line, and NextEp adds them all. Either way you then set where you are on each show in one tap.

Do my ratings come across?

Yes. TV Time ratings are kept on the scale you used.

Is NextEp free?

Yes. No ads, no paid tier, and a one-click export to JSON or CSV so your data is never locked in again.

What about my TV Time friends?

Follows do not transfer from any export. In NextEp you can follow people by username, and the app stays quiet about it until you turn the social switch on.

Your shows did not disappear with TV Time.

With the export it takes about a minute. Without it, a few screenshots.
